Green Tea is the Answer for Heart Diseases

This is good news for everyone especially those who were frightened by heart diseases. A Greek researcher found out that green tea may help prevent heart diseases. According to Charalambos Vlachopoulos’ studies, drinking few cups of this green tea a day is a good dose especially for an individual with heart-related health problems. He even said that green tea improves blood flow as well as the ability of arteries to relax.

Research also shows that not only the green tea provides a lot of benefits for cardiovascular health but the black tea as well. However, most Greek researchers believe that green tea is better than the other kind of tea because it has higher quantities of beneficial compound called flavonoids.

Sunlight to Reduce the Risk of Cancer

Since I was mesmerized with most of Dr. Mercola’s online articles, I was even inspired to make a reaction towards this cancer-related video. This is one of the health issues that really capture my attention as a health-conscious person.

As we all know, the most famous Vitamin D provider is the sun. Huge help to those people who are having deficiency in Vitamin D comes from the freshness that the sunlight brings. In fact, Dr. Mercola even stated that the amount of Vitamin D you receive everyday can provide defense to about 15 types of cancer. According to statistics, smoking is apparently the common cause of cancer in the United States. With enough amount of daily sunlight plus a healthy diet, an individual can definitely prevent the cause of any type of cancer.

It is a good thing that I found this video directly from the Mercola website. I now recognized that a person must acquire 2,000 to 4,000 IU/day to reduce the risk of cancer for up to 50%. I now have enough knowledge about the great benefits of having enough exposure to the sun but of course, must not also be excessive because it is unhealthy as well.

If you are also curious about some health insights from Dr. Joseph Mercola, want to acquire the most current health topics or would like to know some tips that will help you in any way, then just drop by the Mercola website and I can assure you of such an informative source!

Tofu Increases Memory Loss

Have you eaten this famous and delicious Chinese origin cake made of soybean curd? Well, if you happen to eat in a fancy Chinese or even Japanese restaurant, most of the foods they serve include tofu in their recipe.

Tofu is actually a soft cheese-like food which is extremely a versatile kind of food due to its low-calorie, high-protein, cholesterol-free content. It is a food made from curdled soy milk which is actually creamy white with a sliceable firmness.

But even though this food is naturally known as an excellent protein source, some experts say that this delicious soy product might be risky for your memory. Their studies have shown that more than 700 elderly Indonesians, particularly at the age of 68 and beyond, found that high tofu consumption (at least once a day) was associated with worse memory. Experts added that soy contains phytoestrogens, which may heighten the risk of dementia.

On the other hand, it is good news that “tempeh” is here to save us from worries. Research also shows that tempeh, which is a fermented soy product made from the whole soy bean, provides substances that is associated with better memory. This is due to the high levels of the vitamin folate present in each of these fermented soy products. Folate is generally known as a great substance to reduce the risk of dementia.

That’s why we don’t have to worry at all because only when we eat healthy should we live healthy. So make sure to eat healthy foods and have a healthy diet all the time. This way, you can simply attain a healthy lifestyle!

I found this article on the website of Dr. Joseph Mercola and it captures my attention because I always eat tofu. Now, I realized why sometimes I easily forget things or it's hard for me to remember some important things that I need. You can also subscribe to his newsletter for the new articles he published.
